Sports and Athletic Training
North Bay Therapy is compassionate about providing athletes with the most adequate and accurate services. North Bay Therapy offers athletes specialized therapy and professional advice on preventing injury and achieving training goals. Our goal is to help the injured athlete return to the playing field as quickly and safely as possible.
We currently provide athletic training services to Biloxi and D’Iberville public schools. Our athletic trainers are health care professionals whom are certified by the NATA Board of Certification and Licensed by the state of Mississippi. Our Athletic Trainers are knowledgeable in many areas, such as: Injury Prevention, Acute Care, Evaluation of Athletic Injuries, Rehabilitation of Athletic Injuries, General Medical Conditions, and Nutrition.
North Bay therapy is affiliated with North Bay Sports Medicine. North Bay Sports Medicine consists of: Murphy Chiropractic (Tim Murphy, D.C.), North Bay Therapy (Keith Ganey, DPT, SCS, ATC; Danyell Taylor ATC, LAT; Donna Swilley MS, L/ATC), Sports Medicine Orthopedists (Dr James Thriffiley, MD and Dr Dudley Burwell, MD), and Certified Nurse Practitioner (Mary Beth Symmes). Above listed medical professionals provide sports medicine coverage for Biloxi and D’Iberville Public Schools.
Danyell Taylor, L/ATC, BILOXI HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC TRAINER
Danyell graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009. She obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training. She is currently NATABOC certified and licensed in the state of Mississippi. Danyell is the certified athletic trainer for Biloxi High School and works in the clinical setting for North Bay Therapy when she is not performing field work.
My biggest passion is helping an injured athlete return back to the playing field as quickly and as safely as possible. My role is to prevent, recognize, and rehabilitate athletic injuries. With my experience and education proper protocols will be taken before, during, and after and athlete obtains an injury.

Donna Swilley, MS, L/ATC , D’IBERVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC TRAINER
Donna been the athletic trainer for D'Iberville High School since 1990. She is also employed with D'Iberville High School in the Science Department and is also the head fast pitch soft ball coach. Donna has developed a program for students interested in pursuing a career in sports medicine, physical therapy and other allied health professions. Her rapport with the students has been instrumental in the success of the athletic programs at D'Iberville.
